Compass Events
Compass organizes several key events throughout the year. These events include:
Just Conversations: During these events, held multiple times throughout the year, student facilitators lead small-group discussions on ethical topics to promote respectful dialogue.
The Great Debate: A spring event featuring the Ethics Bowl team debating a timely ethical issue, with faculty experts and audience participation.
Ethical Questions: A recurring event where the Ethics Bowl team prepares for competitions by publicly examining ethical cases, inviting questions from the campus community.
Compass is also home to the University of Mississippi Ethics Bowl debate team. Members can support the team, attend debates, or try out to join. Ethics Bowl offers a chance to develop critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills while representing the University at competitions.
