The Great Debate
The Great Debate showcases how civil disagreement can lead to thoughtful solutions. Patterned after the Lincoln-Douglas Debates, this annual spring event models civil discourse for students, faculty, and community members. Each year, a case is selected from the APPE Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl competition for its relevance and impact, challenging student teams to present well-reasoned arguments, respond to critical questions, and propose actionable policy solutions.
