Ethics Across the Table

These lunch events showcase professionals who overcame ethical challenges in their field. Students are invited to gain insights from those who have faced ethical dilemmas, wrestled with hard decisions, and weighed their ethical responsibilities to their clients, colleagues, and society. Sharing food together, students are able to glimpse the shapes their future careers may take and develop a deeper understanding of the moral dilemmas they will face as professionals.

Faculty who would like to arrange for an EAT event for specific classes or student cohorts (e.g., Professional Development, Graduate Assistants, Grove Scholars) are welcome to apply for these events. Staff and administrators who would like to bring an EAT event to their unit or cohort (e.g., RISE@UM) are also welcome to send requests. Scheduling depends on the volume of requests, overlap of fields or topics requested in a given year, and the size of the cohort since lunch is provided. Please contact us via the email below with the subject line "EAT Request" with details about your interests and we'll be in touch!
